I have been in the car business for over 25 years. I began by
repairing air-cooled Volkswagen engines as I pursued a teaching certificate at
the University of Kentucky. Following graduation, I continued to repair
cars from my home as well as teach a night class in automotive repair.
Since the repair business was good, I built The Bug Doctor Inc. in
Versailles and made car repair my full-time job.
During the 20 years I operated The Bug Doctor Inc. I purchased and
sold a few vehicles. Usually I would buy a car, rebuild the engine and
make any other necessary repairs then sell it to family, friends or neighbors.
Having such a loyal customer base and large demand for quality used vehicles,
I began to spend a greater percentage of my time selling cars.
For awhile I tried operating a car lot with a partner as I continued in the
repair business. Finding a high quality partner in the used car business
proved difficult. Ultimately I decided that to maintain my high
standards I would take care of everything myself. I opened Gill Motor
Company and began selling vehicles full-time.
As a certified mechanic with over 20 years on the job, I know vehicles,
their maintenance schedules and the common problems they are likely to
develop. I personally select the vehicles for my lot, inspect and
service the vehicles and sell them myself. This way I know I can provide
you the customer with a quality car at a great price.
